Stitch Money Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Stitch Money, Inc. (“Stitch Money,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation. These Terms govern your use of the Stitch Money website (stitchmoneyapp.com) and mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

1) What Stitch Money is (and isn’t)
Stitch Money helps you organize and understand your finances by importing and displaying information you choose to connect (like bank transactions and subscription-related emails) and presenting it back to you in dashboards, charts, and lists.
Stitch Money is not a bank. We do not hold, custody, control, or transfer your money. We present information back to you.
2) Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of another person or entity, you represent you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
3) Eligibility and location
You must be 18 years or older to use the Service.
The Service is intended for users located in the United States.
4) Your account
4.1 Registration
You may need to create an account with an email address and set credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
4.2 Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
5) Connected services (banks, email, and third parties)
5.1 Bank connections
If you choose to connect a bank account, we use Plaid or similar providers to help you connect. When you connect, you authorize us and our providers to access and import financial account information (such as transaction history and account metadata) for the purpose of providing the Service.
Important: We display information; we don’t move money.
5.2 Gmail connections
If you choose to connect Gmail, you authorize us to access certain email content and metadata needed to detect subscription signals (like receipts, confirmations, cancellations) and to present subscription insights in the Service.
You can revoke Gmail access in your Google account permissions. Where we provide in-app controls, you may also disconnect Gmail in the Service.
5.3 Third-party terms
Your use of connected services may also be governed by third-party terms and privacy policies (for example, Plaid or your email provider). We are not responsible for third-party services, including their availability, accuracy, or security practices.
5.4 Google API limited-use
If we receive information from Google APIs, our use and transfer of that data will comply with applicable Google API user data requirements, including limited-use restrictions.
5.5 Patch sharing and privacy controls
If you create, join, or invite others to a Patch/household, invited members may view shared household data (including transactions and recurring items) except where applicable owner/member privacy controls hide eligible transactions.
You are responsible for inviting only people you trust and managing your Patch membership.
6) Subscriptions, billing, cancellations, and refunds
6.1 Free and paid plans
We offer a free version of the Service and optional paid features via Stitch Premium.
Current Stitch Premium pricing is:
- - $9.99 per month, or
- - $89 per year (“Save 26%”)
Stitch Premium currently includes:
- - up to 10 connected Plaid accounts,
- - up to 2 years of transaction history,
- - Patch size up to 5 members when at least one Patch member has an active Premium subscription,
- - optional bill reminders,
- - daily net worth snapshots and chart,
- - optional weekly/monthly reports,
- - premium support, and
- - premium insights including “What changed?” and bill savings opportunities.
6.2 Auto-renewal and billing
Unless you cancel, your Subscription will auto-renew at the end of each billing period and you authorize us (or the applicable app store/payment processor) to charge the recurring subscription fee plus applicable taxes.
6.3 How to cancel
You can cancel your Subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise required by law or platform policy, cancellation is effective at period end and paid features remain active through the current paid period.
If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through that store’s subscription settings, and refunds are handled by that store (not us), to the extent permitted by their policies.
6.4 Refund policy (direct purchases)
If you purchased a Subscription directly from Stitch Money (not through an app store), you may request a refund within 7 days of your first monthly subscription charge. After that, no refunds are provided except where required by law.
To request a refund (if eligible), contact [email protected] with your account email and purchase details.
6.5 Price changes
We may change Subscription pricing or features. If required, we’ll provide advance notice (for example, by email or in-app notice). Changes apply to future billing periods unless otherwise stated.
6.6 Premium support service level target
For active Stitch Premium subscribers, we currently target an initial support response within approximately 1 business day. This target is not a guaranteed response deadline and may vary with request volume, holidays, and service outages.
7) Important disclaimers: no banking, no guaranteed accuracy, no advice
7.1 Not a bank; not moving money
Stitch Money does not provide banking services and does not transfer funds. Any financial products, account services, or transfers you may use are provided by third parties.
7.2 No guarantee of completeness or accuracy
We do our best, but the Service depends on data from you and third parties. Data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or miscategorized. You are responsible for verifying information before making decisions.
7.3 No financial, tax, legal, or insurance advice
Any insights, categorizations, alerts, or recommendations are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional advice.
If the Service displays or suggests insurance options, those are informational comparisons or third-party offers. Stitch Money is not an insurance agent or broker (unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing), and you should evaluate options independently or consult a professional.
7.4 Automated and AI-assisted outputs
Some Service features may use automated or AI-assisted processing (for example, transaction cleanup/categorization and recurring detection). These outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and are provided for informational purposes only.
8) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes, fraud, money laundering, or sanctions evasion
- Access or attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass security measures
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Introduce malware or abusive traffic (including automated bots) without our written permission
- We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access as described below.
9) Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
You may also delete your account from Settings. Account deletion effects and retention obligations are subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your access (with or without notice) if we reasonably believe you:
- violated these Terms,
- pose a security risk,
- used the Service fraudulently or unlawfully, or
- created risk or potential legal exposure for Stitch Money or others.
- Termination may not eliminate obligations you incurred before termination (like payment obligations).
10) Intellectual property
The Service, including software, designs, text, charts, and branding, is owned by Stitch Money or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
11) Feedback
If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant Stitch Money the right to use it without restriction or compensation.
12) Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
13) Disclaimers of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STITCH MONEY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that third-party connections will be available at all times.
14) Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- STITCH MONEY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
- STITCH MONEY’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO STITCH MONEY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
- Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Stitch Money and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
16) Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class action waiver (IMPORTANT)
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.
16.1 Informal resolution first
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve disputes informally by emailing [email protected] with:
- your name and account email,
- a description of the issue, and
- the relief you’re requesting.
- We’ll try to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
16.2 Binding arbitration
If we can’t resolve the dispute informally, you and Stitch Money agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its applicable rules.
Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis. The arbitrator may award the same damages and relief as a court.
16.3 Class action waiver
YOU AND STITCH MONEY AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
16.4 Small claims exception
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies and remains an individual case.
16.5 Opt-out
You may opt out of arbitration and the class action waiver by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name and the email associated with your account and a clear statement that you are opting out.
17) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs arbitration.
18) Communications
You agree that we may send communications related to the Service by email or in-app.
Transactional/service communications:
These include account, security, billing, legal, and operational notices needed to provide the Service, including opted-in bill reminder and report emails, and support-case communications.
Marketing communications:
- Marketing and recommendation emails are optional and require explicit opt-in. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time through Settings or the unsubscribe link in a marketing email.
- If you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send transactional/service communications.
19) Electronic communications and E-SIGN
By using the Service, you agree that communications (including notices, agreements, and disclosures) may be provided electronically (for example, via email or in-app). You consent to use of electronic signatures and records where permitted by law.
20) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we’ll provide notice (for example, by email or in-app). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the changes.
21) Miscellaneous
Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms (for example, in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).
Severability: If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Stitch Money regarding the Service.
